The Pathway of Life

Pathway Of Life
A young mother set her feet on the pathway of life. "Is the way long?" she asked. And her guide said, "Yes, and the way is hard and you will be old before you reach the end of it, but the end will be better than the beginning."
But the young mother was happy and would not believe that anything could be better than these years. So she played with her children and gathered flowers for them along the way and bathed with them in the clear springs. The sun shone on them and life was good and the young mother cried, "Nothing will be lovelier than this."
Then the night came and the storms and the path was dark and the children shook with fear and cold. And the mother drew them close and covered them with her mantle, and the children said, "Oh , Mother, we are not afraid, for you are near and we know that no harm can come to us." And the mother said, "This is better than the brightness of the day, for I have taught my children courage."
And the morning came and there was a hill ahead, and the children climbed and grew weary, and the mother was weary too, but at all times she said to the children, "A little patience and we are there." So the children climbed and climbed and when they reached the top, they said, "Mother, we could not have done it without you." And when the mother lay down to sleep that night, she looked up at the stars and said, "This is a better day than the last, for my children have learned fortitude in the face of hardness. Yesterday I gave them courage -- today I gave them strength."
And the next day the strange clouds came, clouds of war and hate and evil. And the children groped and stumbled, but the mother said, "Look up. Lift up your eyes to the Light." And the children looked up and saw above the clouds the Everlasting Glory and it guided them and brought them beyond the darkness. And that night the mother said, "This is the best day of all, for I have shown my children God."
And the days went on and the years, and mother grew old, and she was little and bent. But her children were tall and strong and walked with courage. And when the way was hard, they helped their mother and when the way was rough, they lifted her, for she was light as a feather. And at last they came to a hill, and beyond the hill they could see a shining road and gates flung wide and the mother said, "I have reached the end of my journey and I know that the end is better than the beginning, for my children can walk alone, and their children after them." And the children said, "You will always walk with us, Mother, even when you have gone through the gates."
And they stood and watched her as she went on alone and the gates closed after her and they said, "We cannot see her but she is with us still. A mother like ours is more than a memory -- she is a living presence."

House Inspection - 2

Today is the house second inspection. Here in Australia, the RE Agent must have a housing inspection every 3 month. So..today is my 2nd one. Karena - the RE Agent - came around 11.00 am after previously sent us a letter regarding this inpection and the time that she would be coming over.

Really glad that she was glad with what she saw in the house. It is not like we would vandalise the house, anyway. And the refineray is preety good actually compare with the 1st inspection in summer where the weather was so hot and dry. Now, it looks greeny.

And so did the spa. At first I did not really comfortable looking after the spa. I did not what chemical to be pour in to. Haha..and how to calculate it. After awhile and thanks to Mike - the spa guy - who worked so hard teaching me how to balance the pH, alkaline and something called bromide..something. Haha..

After she took off, here came the AC guy who will switch the AC into winter weather. I did not know what he did but he just took a ladder and walk to the roof. Make a bit noise and after 10 minutes he took off as well.

Parent Teacher Interview - Ariel

I made an appointment to have a parent - teacher interview with the core study year - 6 with Ariel's teacher, Ms. Young. It was the interview for the term - 1. Pedare set up the booking process by internet. So they sent the letter with the password for each parent to log into the school intranet and make a booking for this interview. It was a new thing and I found out it was cool. But the password just good until the interview period which was for 2 weeks.

Parent can choose which teacher they like to see. The study core teacher, home group, maths, science, PE, anyone we think we need to talk about our children progress of study. I picked Ariel's core study since I need to know about his academic progress and getting to know the teacher personally.

The result was very satisfied. Rachel said that in academic term Ariel was excellent. He had been working so hard catching up all his missing term and getting more confident in English especially in giving opinion and writing. He was very good in Maths, actually he was quite advance compare with other friends in the class. And she was sure that Ariel would finish excellent also at the end of this year. I am really glad to hear that. I asked she also to look more care on his comprehension since I got that problem with Brian - my second kid.

Finally, everything are great. Really hope my kids can enjoy their time here, gaining experience that benefits them for their future.

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's day actually is celebrated every 2nd Sunday of May. My kids got all the crafts for mother's day last week. They made cards, and crafts as a present for me. So I got 2 cards, 1 drawing with Ben 10 on it (ha!), 1 paper bag with handskerchief and lolly, and jar full of colorfull salt. Lucky me!

We went to the church also this morning and got flower. Ha! We also celebrate and pray for all moms in the world. After that we got the lunch and this time I can pick the place. Hhhmm..sounds better, right? So I picked the place where we all love to eat. The BBQ place in chinatown. I really like their noodle soup so I ordered the rOaSTed DucK NoOdlE SouP in the big bowl. Andd..as usual cannot finish it. Ha!

Finish eating, I asked them to go to look for piano music in Gawler Road. I got everyone book and off to the COCOLAT in Rundle Street to get my Tiramisu Cake. Yummyy...

I enjoy this day. Hopefully mother's day will celebrate every month. Sighs!!
